Friday's Open House and Raffle Details (online and in-person)
Will we see you at the open house?
Our open house is this Friday, November 18th, from 6-8 p.m. Stop by for a tour of our new location at 343 E. High Street, Lexington, KY 40507, at the corner of High and Grand streets in the old Common Grounds Coffee House. We’ll serve light refreshments and have several of our member writers in the space. You’ll also have the opportunity to meander through our rooms and purchase raffle tickets (see below). The board will share a few words at 7 p.m. and we’ll draw the raffle winners at 8 p.m. You do not need to be present to win.

We have a win-win proposition for you. As a nonprofit, we need to raise funds to help provide a tricked-out and inspiring space for our member writers. With your participation, this raffle will help us stay flush with printer paper, hand soap, coffee, and other necessities. In exchange, you might win one of these lovelies.
Behold! We’ve assembled four fascinating baskets. Each is filled with an eclectic selection of books written by our members and items curated for readers.
To buy tickets (available now and up to 7:50pm EST this Friday):
Raffle tickets are $10 each. You do not need to be from Lexington or present to win. The raffle is open to anyone in the United States, so you can support us even if you are not able to come to our open house. There are two ways you can buy tickets:
Pay by cash or check during the open house.
Buy tickets through our Paypal account by pointing your phone’s camera to this QR code (or you can go here and click the Donate button). We’ll email you a picture of your raffle tickets (one ticket per $10 donation) if you’re not at the open house.
Each basket has a retail value of about $150, but the loving boost you’ll receive from supporting our writers will be priceless.
If you’re one of our four winners:
Local, present at 8pm drawing: You can select from the available baskets.
Local, not present during drawing: We’ll hold your basket and work with you on a convenient pick up time.
Not local (within the US): We’ll ship your items to you!
